Proton Motor Power gets third order from large engineering customer

Fuel cell and electric hybrid systems developer Proton Motor Power has received a third order from an unnamed “large” engineering and aerospace group, it announced on Monday.

The AIM-traded firm said the order was for four Proton Motor S8 fuel cell systems, for the autonomous provision of energy and heat.

It said the customer had indicated that there could be further follow up orders to come in the pipeline.

“We are delighted to be working with this important customer for the long term and we expect that the relationship will expand to include training and service to support international sales,” said chief executive officer Dr Faiz Nahab.

At 0822 GMT, shares in Proton Motor Power Systems were up 5.32% at 99p.
