Ramsdens Holdings reported “unauthorised access” to its IT systems on Friday, adding that it had informed the relevant authorities and was working with third-party experts to take “all appropriate” actions.

The AIM-traded firm said that, based on its current assessment, it anticipated “minimal” disruption to its business and trading performance and a small financial cost due to additional IT software and procedures.

As a precaution, the board said it was in the process of notifying potential impacted stakeholders, and would provide appropriate advice and support.

The exact nature and scope of the “unauthorised access” was not disclosed.

“The company's strong trading during the early part of the current financial year across all core business segments has continued into the start of the important summer trading period,” the board added.

“The directors remain confident of Ramsdens' continued progress.”
