Range Resources completes well on Trinidad site ahead of schedule

Exploration and production group Range Resources said work on GY 180SE, the second well at its Trinidad project, has been completed ahead of schedule.

In a short statement released on Friday, the London-listed company said oil shows and hydrocarbon sands were encountered at the Middle Gros Morne channel sand complex, adding logging of the samples had already begun.

Range will seek approval for production testing once it has completed the log evaluations, while the rig used to drill the well will be utilised to spud a new development well on the same site.

Range shares were up 0.31% to 0.418p at 0943 GMT on Friday.
