Upstream oil and gas investment firm Reabold has tapped Chris Connolly to take over as chief financial officer.

Reabold said on Friday that Connolly will join the company from EnQuest, where he was group financial controller. Before joining EnQuest, he was initially trained at Ernst & Young before moving to Canamens Energy, De Beers, and Ophir Energy.

At EnQuest, Connolly headed up group finance, group treasury and group systems, leading and managing all internal and external reporting for the group, and also presided over all technical accounting transactions for the firm.

Co-chief executive Stephen Williams said: "We are delighted to welcome Chris to Reabold. His wealth of transaction and reporting experience across a wide range of premier resource companies will be of significant value to the Company during an exciting period for our business."

As of 1030 BST, Reabold shares were up 7.54% at 0.33p.
