Redstone launches OneSpace solution at UBM's NY office

RedstoneConnect, an AIM listed provider of technology and services for smart buildings and commercial spaces, announced the deployment of its workspace management software solution OneSpace with UBM.

UBM, a leading global events and marketing communications specialist, has launched the product at its head office in New York.

The agreement comes after a successful result from the OneSpace pilot at UBM’s London office, which helped the company to meet its real-estate and sustainability objectives.

“OneSpace, provides real-time monitoring and analysis of occupancy trends, enabling organisations to optimise the utilisation of space, ultimately reducing capital and operational costs whilst improving workforce engagement and the working environment. It is a pure software solution that can be rapidly configured to any space anywhere in the world,” according to the company.

The software has enabled UBM to adapt and optimise the use of its office space. At UBM’s 11,000 square feet office in london, staff have been able to work more flexibly enabling the business to operate a ratio of 10 desks to evert 14 employees with occupancy rates in excess of 80%.

Chief executive of RedstoneConnect Mark Braund said: "OneSpace has proved itself as an essential business tool for UBM and one that is driving material cost savings. By using OneSpace analytics to quantify results, UBM has been able to increase head count using the same real estate footprint, whilst freeing up space for much needed meeting areas."

The share price rose 1.82% to 1.40p at 1028 GMT on Monday.
