Science in Sports kicks goals with both Aston Villa and Celtic FC

Science in Sport (SIS) announced Friday it had signed several exclusive deals with some of the biggest names in British football.

The London based sports nutrition company confirmed it had locked in a contract to become the official nutrition supplier for both Aston Villa, of the English Football League and Celtic FC, of the Scottish Professional Football League.

The company will work in conjunction with nutrition experts of each club to build tailored plans and strategies for players in the upcoming season, drawing from SIS's wide range of rapid recovery products, whey proteins and isotonic gels.

The announcement comes after the group had previously inked agreements with Norwich City, Lincoln City, Plymouth Argyle and several others in July.

Chief executive, Stephen Moon commented: "We are delighted to have signed these agreements and expanded our reach across the top-flight football clubs in the UK. We are now official nutrition partner to close to 50 professional clubs and this is testament to the quality of our science and innovation, our product superiority and our best in class approach to banned substance testing. We see football as an important strategic growth area in coming years and we will continue to build our presence at elite level as part of this initiative."

As of 0845 BST, shares had remained fairly steady with a 1.25% increase to 90.62p.
