Mobile workforce management software company ServicePower announced a new finance chief on Friday, appointing Purple WiFi’s Simon Evans to the role.
The AIM-traded firm said Evans has more than two decades of experience working in the technology sector in a number of finance roles.
He oversaw a period of growth at Colt Telecom, before spending 10 years at Zen Internet - where he was responsible for leading the various finance and administration teams.
Most recently, Evans was the chief operating officer with finance responsibility for Purple WiFi, a software company that provides B2B wifi access and solutions.
ServicePower’s board confirmed Evans is a qualified management accountant.
"I am delighted to welcome Simon to the company,” said ServicePower CEO Marne Martin.
“I am confident that he will make a positive impact in his new role and will further strengthen our capabilities going forward,” Martin added.
Evans was succeeding Tajinder Sandhu, who will step down and leave the company on 15 June after an ‘orderly’ handover.
Sandhu has been chief financial officer since December 2013 and a member of the board since June 2014.
ServicePower’s board anticipated that Evans would join the board after taking the financial reins.
