Solo Oil submitted the development plan for the onshore Ntorya gas condensate field located in Tanzania to the country's state oil company, taking another step towards monetisation of the field.

The plan included a comprehensive review of the existing data, together with the findings from new mapping as well as the recently upgraded resource estimates of around 1.3 trn cubic feet Pmean gas initially in place.

Solo held a 25% working interest in the Ruvuma Basin Petroleum Sharing Agreement in which Ntorya was located.

Aminex, the operator of the field, had already applied for a staged development of the field to enable an early production scheme with the existing wells, alongside an additional programme for more development wells upon demand, the company said in a statement.

In addition, Solo and Aminex said they were reviewing the timing for spudding the Ntorya-3 well which would help to further delineate the reservoir.
