Spectra Systems CFO resigns

The chief financial officer of Spectra Systems, a supplier of authentication technology for banknotes, brands and tax stamps, has tendered his notice and will leave the company by the end of the year.

Douglas Anderson is to leave the AIM-listed company on 31 December in order to “pursue other business opportunities”.

Chief executive Dr. Nabil Lawandy said: "Doug has been an invaluable resource to the company and to me and on behalf of the board I thank him for all of his contribution to Spectra and wish him every success in future.

“We are confident we will attract highly qualified candidates and be successful in appointing a new chief financial officer in the very near term. A search for his successor is underway."

Shares in Spectra Systems were down 3.53% to 24.60p at 0812 GMT.
