Maritime management and surveillance systems provider SRT Marine Systems has entered an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership agreement with Japan Radio Corporation of Japan, it announced on Monday.

The AIM-traded firm said that under the agreement, SRT would supply JRC with AIS product solutions customised and branded to JRC requirements.

“We are delighted to have entered this long-term partnership with one of the world's leading commercial marine electronics companies famous for providing products of the highest quality and performance standards to the global commercial vessel market,” said SRT chief executive Simon Tucker.

“This agreement was entered into following a long evaluation of our core technology performance and product quality which proved our significantly differentiated offer in the growing AIS market segment.

“We look forward to working closely with our new OEM partner to help them develop their AIS transceiver product segment in the years to come.”
