Sylvania Platinum buys back 121k shares

Sylvania Platinum updated the market on its ongoing share buyback on Friday, reporting that it acquired 121,035 shares on Thursday, representing 0.04% of its issued share capital.

The AIM-traded firm said the tranche was purchased at an average price of 88.27p each.

“Following the above transaction, the company's issued share capital is 286,155,657 ordinary shares, of which a total of 15,367,344 ordinary shares are held in treasury, including 1,933,398 ordinary shares pending cancellation,” the board said in its update.

As a result, the total number of shares with voting rights in Sylvania was now 270,788,313.

At 1245 BST, shares in Sylvania Platinum were up 1.85% at 89.62p.
