Security and surveillance firm Synectics revealed on Monday that Craig Wilson has stood down from the role of chairman, with immediate effect.

Synectics said Wilson had chosen to exit the group in order to pursue "other business interests", leaving non-executive director Steve Coggins to take over the role on an interim basis.

The AIM-listed group said: "The Synectics board thanks Craig for his service and wishes him well."

As of 0955 BST, Synectics shares were down 4.84% at 107.06p.
