Shares in Synectics surged on Tuesday after the security firm announced it had won three contracts, comprising a multi-million dollar international casino project, an expansion to the system deployed at Jakarta Airport and a renewed three-year contract with a bus operator Stagecoach.

The first contract is to supply supply an integrated video and security management solution, based around the company's open architecture command and control software Synergy 3, to a Philippines casino, to record and monitor over 5,000 cameras across five properties.

The builds on Synectics' portfolio in the region with gaming clients in Macau, Singapore, Korea and Manila's Entertainment City already using the company's solution, and is expected to be delivered in 2017.

The second contract is an extension of its initial contract in 2015 to deploy Synergy 3 at Jakarta Airport. Synectics will now extend the system into the new airport operational command centre.

The final contracts s a multi-million, three-year contract renewal with bus operator Stagecoach to install CCTV systems for all new vehicles, as well as continuing support for their entire fleet.

Sam Greer, Stagecoach UK bus engineering director, said: "We have worked with Synectics for many years, and have become increasingly impressed by their ability to deliver the solutions we need now, and in the future. Importantly, these systems are helping to improve the security and safety of our passengers."

These three contract wins build on other recent contract awards in the UK and Europe, including a fleet-wide surveillance upgrade project with Rail for London trams, an extended contract with a Passenger Transport Executive in the North-East of England to provide on-board surveillance solutions for its light rail and tram services and a passenger safety system for German railway company Deutsche Bahn.

Synectics chief executive Paul Webb said the contract wins announced on Tuesday “demonstrate the encouraging progress we are making in applying our proven sector-focussed model to the transport and infrastructure market, which is a key strategic objective for the business”.

Shares in Synectics were up 10.74% to 224.25p at 1012 BST.
