Tern portfolio company scores medical partnership with Wipro
Tern PLC's shares climbed on Tuesday after its 56.8% owned subsidiary Device Authority (DA) joined a new strategic partnership and joint customer collaboration with IT, consulting and business services specialists Wipro Limited.
The subsidiary, which is a specialist in Internet of Things technology, will work with Wipro to deliver a joint solution for a large multinational healthcare company which is launching a remote patient monitoring service, which will be comprised of a variety of different medical devices connecting and transmitting health data, thus requiring an extra layer of security.
The AIM traded company said that Wipro's worldwide presence, technical capabilities and understanding of Medical/Healthcare customers will provide the partnership with "a robust ability to deliver secure, connected and compliant IoMT solutions."
Al Sisto, chief executive of Tern, said: "This is yet another important milestone for DA's Keyscaler product in establishing itself as the "go to product" for solving the security needs of the connected digital medical products marketplace. This new partnership with Wipro, with its winning together approach, provides DA with an expanded reach to develop additional medical opportunities as well as other Wipro market initiatives that require secure IoT solutions."
Tern's shares were up 0.29% at 8.02p at 1643 BST.
