Video optimisation company Seeen said on Monday that Adrian Hargrave had been promoted from chief financial officer to chief executive officer.

Seeen also noted that it intends to appoint a replacement CFO in the near term, with Hargrave continuing to work with the finance team until such a time as a suitable candidate is located.

Akiko Mikumo and David Anton also returned to their roles as non-executive directors following a stint as interim co-CEOs.

Separately, Seeen revealed it had sold a CreatorSuite licence to the Daily Mail.

Hargrave said: "We have worked with the Daily Mail team on strategies to help improve returns on video and this is a key step in our ongoing relationship, which we hope will deepen with further video analysis technology solutions. We are excited to begin this implementation with this leading, forward-thinking global publisher, vindicating our strategy of targeting strategic customers for whom video is becoming a greater priority than ever before.

"I am also particularly proud of the work of our technology team in driving the successful integration of CreatorSuite with a third-party video player, this greatly broadens our addressable target market. We look forward to adding further customer wins to build on our current momentum."

As of 1040 BST, Seeen shares had slumped 16.67% to 10.0p.
