AIM-listed out-of-hospital services provider Totally has appointed Gloria Cooke to the board with immediate effect as clinical quality director.
Cooke is currently a key member of the senior management team, having joined in April 2016 as interim head of group clinical governance before becoming director of clinical governance & quality in a non-board capacity in July 2016.
In her new role as clinical quality director, she will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and establishment of systems and processes across the group, ensuring it meets all the required standards for quality and safety. She will also lead on all aspects of work relating to clinical regulation and clinical governance.
Cooke has had a forty year career within the NHS, initially in both adult and children's nursing, practising for ten years in A&E but ultimately as head of nursing for a large integrated service.
Chief executive officer Wendy Lawrence said: "We are delighted to welcome Gloria to the board. Her extensive and considerable experience in senior healthcare positions, both in the NHS and private practice, have proven to be a valuable asset to the company as we continue to grow. Gloria's experience of working at very senior levels within the NHS, along with the knowledge she has already gained by working as part of the Totally team to date, means she provides invaluable skills to the board as we add additional services to our already extensive portfolio."
