Trans-Siberian Gold provides production update on Asacha mine

Russian gold miner Trans-Siberian Gold has provided a production update on its Asacha mine for the third quarter of 2016.

Mine development during the period was 3,4127m and ore extraction amounted to 130,600 tonnes (mt).

In the first nine months an average of 13,570 tonnes (mt) per month was processed through the plant.

Gold mining in lower grade stopes was offset by an increase in plant throughput to 10.6% above target.

The firm expects the average gold grades in the fourth quarter to be higher than those mined in the third quarter.

The share price fell 2.66% to 45.75p at 0914 BST on Thursday.
