Connected health technology developer Trellus Health announced the appointment of Stephen ‘Steve’ Young as its interim chief financial officer on Monday, with immediate effect.

The AIM-traded firm described Young as an “experienced” finance director and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and was taking over the role from Richard Evans, whose interim contract had ended.

He was joining Trellus in a non-board capacity, and will work alongside chief executive officer Dr Marla Dubinsky, company secretary Salim Hamir, and chief operating officer Aled Stevenson.

Trellus said Young had prior CFO experience at AIM-listed companies, having held the position at both Pure Wafer and British Biocell International.

He was joining Trellus from Axiom Manufacturing - a contract electronic manufacturer- where he served as CFO and company secretary, as well as Greeve, where he served as a director from 2016 to 2022.

“We are delighted to welcome Steve to Trellus Health,” said non-executive chairman Julian Baines.

“Steve has previously served as chief financial officer for AIM-listed companies, and this experience will be valuable to the company going forward.

“I would like to repeat our thanks to Richard Evans for his contribution to the company, following the completion of his contract earlier this month.”

At 1054 BST, shares in Trellus Health were flat at 9p.
