Utility management consultancy Utilitywise has been selected by Walmart’s Asda as its chosen supplier of Internet of Things building solutions.

Under the terms of the deal, Utilitywise will work closely with Asda’s facilities services partner, City Holdings, to deploy Utilitywise’s Dell-based Integrated Technology Management Solution across its UK estate.

Utilitywise’s chief operating officer, Brin Sheridan, said: “Being selected by City Holdings on behalf of such a large-scale and prestigious organisation as Asda is a tremendous validation of our Intelligent Building IoT solution.

“There is huge potential for our modern, technology-led solutions not only in the retail sector but in any sector encompassing businesses with physical premises and we are confident that we have an extremely competitive offering which will enable us to grow our market share in the building technology sector."
