Vast Resources to begin molybdenum concentrate production

Production and development company Vast Resources announced on Monday that it will start molybdenum concentrate production in August at its Baita Plai Polymetallic Mine in Romania.

The AIM-traded firm said that, after its announcements in January and May regarding the installation and commissioning of a molybdenum flotation line at Baita Plai, it could now confirm that the 0.6 cubic metre cells had been installed in the flotation circuit.

“The company will report on quarterly molybdenum production as part of its quarterly production reporting,” the board said in the short announcement.

At 1256 BST, shares in Vast Resources were up 7.84% at 0.69p.
