Vast Resources trying to maintain Baita Plai timeline
Mining company Vast Resources updated the market on progress at its Baita Plai polymetallic mine in Romania on Monday, following President Iohannis declaring a state of emergency in the country as of 16 March, in response to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The AIM-traded firm said it had spent the weekend putting in place “all the necessary precautions” to adhere to the guidelines being put in place.
“[We are still] ensuring [we] maintain the implementation programme to bring Baita Plai into production with minimal disruption, in order to meet the timeframe stated in the previous announcement made on 11 March,” the board said in its statement.
At 1503 GMT, shares in Vast Resources were down 13.04% at 0.2p.
