Personal care products maker Venture Life announced the departure of Sharon Daly from the company on Friday, effective 3 August.

The AIM-traded mouthwash and nasal spray peddler said Daly would be leaving Venture Life to pursue other opportunities, resulting in the termination of her directorship.

It said Daly played a pivotal role in the establishment and growth of Venture Life since its inception in 2010.

As a co-founder, she had made significant contributions to the company's expansion and development, the board said, playing a role in transforming Venture Life from a startup to a considerably larger, listed enterprise.

“We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to Sharon for the hard work and support she has given to the business, and wish her the very best in her new endeavours,” the Venture Life board said in its statement.

“Sharon will affect a smooth handover of her responsibilities before she finally leaves the business.

“At this point, Sharon's role of chief commercial officer will not be replaced on the board, but her role will be restructured across the existing team within the business, bolstered, if necessary, in due course, with any additional resource identified as needed.”

At 1443 BST, shares in Venture Life Group were up 0.62% at 40.75p.
