Victoria appoints new finance director

Floorcovering group Victoria announced the appointment of a new Group Finance Director on Monday.

The AIM-listed company said Michael Scott would join the board in the position with immediate effect.

Scott, 35, joins after eight years at Rothschild where he worked across a range of public and private company transactions, mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity fundraisings as part of its Global Financial Advisory division.

Victoria said he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and held an engineering degree from the University of Cambridge.

"After a comprehensive search, we are delighted to announce the appointment of such a strong candidate in Michael Scott to Victoria", said executive chairman Geoff Wilding.

"He brings a wealth of very relevant experience that will be highly beneficial as we continue to execute our strategy of both organic and acquisitive growth", he added.
