Victoria Oil and Gas expects test flows to begin at Cameroonian asset by mid-December

Fully integrated onshore gas producer Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) has run liner and cemented its La-108 well in Cameroon with flow tests expected to follow by mid-December.

La-108, which had previously been announced as drilled successfully at a depth of 2,865m was successfully cemented and cased off at 2,859m.

After reaching target depth, the firm suffered some slight electrical problems which delayed the process by 14 days, but had since rectified the issues.

On Friday, VOG said it was in the process of installing permanent production equipment in the well, with the drilling rig to be skidded off the hole and released as soon as completion equipment was run.

VOG told investors on Friday, "The production tree will then be installed and the well perforated and flow tested prior to connecting it to the Logbaba gas processing facilities. Preliminary analysis of the La-108 logs indicates 84.5m of net gas sand in the Logbaba Formation."

As of 1045 GMT, shares had gained 1.89% to 53.00p.
