WANdisco wins contract for its Amazon cloud solution
Cloud software provider WANdisco has won a contract with gaming company Playtika for its Amazon S3 cloud solution, via Amazon’s web service marketplace.
Playtika selected WANdisco Fusion because the solution that could transfer large volumes of continuously changing data to the cloud without impacting the gaming experience of its 6m daily players.
The deal is based on terabytes of data being replicated by the company on a subscription basis. With WANdisco Fusion's technology and Playtika's Amazon S3 they can ensure disaster recovery in the event of an unplanned outage.
AIM-listed WANdisco said the contract win was in-line with its focus to deploy its cloud solution through sales partnerships, including with Amazon, Cisco, IBM, Google, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and Oracle.
Recently, the company signed a $1.5m contract with a massive US financial services firm, which was gained from its partnership with Oracle.
It also won a $775,000 agreement with a global bank headquartered in Europe for its subversion multisite plus application lifecycle management software.

Shares in WANdisco were up 4.98% to 137p at 0821 GMT.
