TV and multimedia content producer Zinc Media said on Thursday that 2020 second-half revenues were pegged to be higher than those recorded in the first six months of the year.

Zinc also said pre-booked revenues for 2021 had more than doubled to £9.3m as a further £5.2m of new business was closed in the run-up to Christmas.

The AIM-listed group stated it finished 2020 with "increasing momentum" as its London-based TV business won a one-off Panorama commission for BBC1 and broke into a new market with Amazon Audible.

Zinc added that it continued to develop "a healthy pipeline" of new business opportunities for 2021 and beyond, with its current pipeline sitting at £43.0m - with £5.0m at an advanced stage, £15.0m in engaged discussion and £23.0m in early discussion with potential buyers and commissioners.

Chief executive Mark Browning said: "It is very encouraging to see the group end 2020 with a flurry of new business across all divisions in the group.

"Lockdown 3 creates yet more uncertainty; however the group has a strong pipeline and I remain positive that once Covid restrictions lift we will be able to convert more of this pipeline and continue to build revenues again."

As of 1005 GMT, Zinc shares were up 9.40% at 64.0p.
