Zinc Media secures two new TV commissions

Multimedia content producer Zinc Media has won two new TV commissions via its recently acquired Tern Television wing.

The two commissions are worth more than £2m for the company.

Channel 4 has commissioned two further 20 episode series' of 'Emergency Helicopter Medics', while Channel 5 has commissioned a 180-minute special, 'Soaps' Most Controversial Storylines'.

David Galan, Zinc's chief executive officer, said, "Tern Television continues to win long-running series and repeatable formats, which is exactly the type of business Zinc Media strives to win due to its recurring nature and significant order size."

"Harry Bell, managing director of Tern Television, and his team continue to build Tern Television into one of the largest independent TV producers in Scotland and Northern Ireland," add Galan.

As of 0850 BST, Zinc shares had picked up 4.32% to 0.65p.
