Spain and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, and another Spanish player, Iker Muniain, have been accused of being involved in a sexual assault by a protected witness in an investigation regarding a pornographic businessman nicknamed ‘Torbe’. The news has been broken by Spanish news site El Diario.
Reports are circulating that De Gea has apparently been sent home from the Spanish national team's training camp in France ahead of Euro 2016, but these are unconfirmed. Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague has denied the reports:
Actor and director "Torbe" has been investigated in relation to allegations of various crimes, including that of paedophilia, sex trafficking, sexual abuse and money laundering.
However, the latest developments, as reported by El Diario, have come after the protected witness, named as ‘TP3’ in the report, has alleged that she was forced into having a sexual encounter with two footballers.
Eldiario.es states that the victim made a statement on on 3 June 2015 regarding the supposed abuse, in which Muniain allegedly took part, and which, according to the victim’s statement took place in 2012 in a central five star hotel in Madrid.
The claimed police report, dated June 3, 2015, is alleged to say: “After leaving the woman in the room with the other girl, Torbe told her they had to be with the footballers and would have to agree to everything they wanted and that they would earn more money.
“When she refused, Torbe took her firmly by the arm, without waiting for her reply, and she had to do everything they wanted, which involved them having sex with the new girl and her.
“The new girl and her were both sexually abused by the boys, because if they refused they were physically attacked by both.
“Once the footballers had satiated their sexual desires, they threatened them so that everything that happened in that room never saw the light of day.
“It is worth nothing that neither the witness or the other girl who were in their room earned anything for all the physical and sexual attacks they received with Torbe keeping all the money.”
