Terror alert in London as suspicious car found near Blackfriars Station
Renault Clio left on Southbank next to River Thames, emergency services at the scene

A large area in central London is on alert after a Renault Clio was abandoned near Blackfriars station.
The police have confirmed that "special officers are at the scene. Enquiries continue."
The area of Southbank close to the River Thames was also on alert last year as police stopped a van with Belgian numberplates in the same area.
The Met Police said: ‘Police are in attendance at Bankside, SE1 to reports of a suspicious vehicle. Cordons are in place while police assess the situation.
