Eurozone CPI inflation in line with expectations in May

Eurozone consumer price index (CPI) met expectations in May, official figures released on Wednesday showed.

Data released by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistic office, inflation grew 0.3% year-on-year and 0.2% month-on-month in May.

The core CPI was also in line with expectations, rising 0.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2014.
