Updated : 05:58
As results for the UK general election continue to roll in on Friday morning, stunning outcomes continue to emerge from Scotland on what is turning out to be a very bad night for the Liberal Democrats and Labour, with Conservatives tipped to emerge as the largest party. See below for a round-up of results.
The Conservatives remain the frontrunners with 183 seats. They are currently forecast to almost reach 325, one seat short of an overall majority.
The Labour Party also have 183 seats.
The SNP dominated Scotland, holding a whopping 54 seats.
The Liberal Democrats plummeted in popularity, with just 6 seats.
UKIP also disappointed, with just 1 seat
Plaid Cymru held 3 seats.
The SDLP held 3 seats.
The DUP held 8 seats.
Sinn Fein held 4 seats.
The UUP held 2 seats.
All indicators suggest that the Conservatives will be the largest party, potentially even holding a majority government.
Earlier on Thursday, a shock exit poll, considered the first indication of how the British public has voted, put the Conservatives at 316, followed by Labour at 239 seats, Liberal Democrats at 10, Scottish National Party at 58 and UKIP at 2 seats.
Labour party leader Ed Miliband is likely to announce his resignation later on Friday, according to media reports on the BBC, New Statesman and Sky News. However, a Labour party spokesperson declined comment when contacted by Sharecast saying "now was not the time for such talk."
