UK unemployment declines in three months to April, ONS says

UK unemployment declined in the three months to April, official figures released on Wednesday showed.

According to the Office for National Statistics, the number of unemployed people in Britain fell 43,000 to 1.81m, bringing the unemployment rate to 5.5%.

Meanwhile wage growth grew 2.7%, beating analysts’ estimates.
