Uni Michigan index beats expectations in November

The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index beat expectations in November, data released on Friday showed.

The index rose from the 90 level it recorded in October to a preliminary reading of 93.1 this month, compared with analysts' expectations for a 91.5 reading.
