British man suspected of having Ebola dies in Macedonia

A British man suspected of having contracted Ebola has died in Macedonia, Macedonian officials have said.

According to reports, the man died at the clinic of Infectious Disease in Skopje and, according to the symptoms exhibited when the patient was admitted, the doctors believe he had Ebola, Macedonian station Alfa TV said.

The patient was unable to communicate, when admitted to the hospital and passed away shortly afterward.

It remains to be confirmed whether the victim had been infected by Ebola, though doctors agree his symptoms were almost identical to other Ebola cases in the US and Spain

The Foreign Office said they were investigating reports.
