Director dealings: M&C Saatchi CEO snaps up shares

M&C Saatchi revealed on Thursday that chief executive Moray MacLennan had acquired 561,798 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed advertising agency.

MacLennan, who took over as CEO in November, purchased the shares on Wednesday at an average price of 89.0p each, for a total value of £500,000.21.

Following the transaction, MacLennan's beneficial interest in the company amounts to a total holding of 562,149 ordinary shares, approximately 0.46% of M&C's issued share capital.

Back in August, M&C said it had continued to trade well and profitably in the opening few weeks of its second half.

As of 1625 GMT, M&C Saatchi shares were up 2.95% at 97.80p.
