Friday preview: US non-farm payrolls, in the spotlight
All eyes at the end of the week will be on the October non-farm payrolls report due out in the US.
Consensus is for a 200,000 increase, although economists at Barclays Research are anticipating a slightly lower pace of 175,000.
Average hourly earnings are seen by Barclays printing at up by 4.7% in year-on-year terms, which the investment bank pointed out would be a similar pace to the average clip seen since late 2021.
In September, average hourly earnings were ahead by 5.0%.
Unemployment meanwhile was seen ticking higher by one tenth of a percentage point to 4.7% with the labour force participation rate steady ar 62.3%.
Across the Channel, at 0700 GMT, Germany's Federal Office of Statistics will release factory orders data covering the month of September.
It will be followed at 0900 GMT by S&P Global's final reading for its euro area services sector PMI (Preliminary: 48.2).
Another speech from European Central Bank President, Christine Lagarde, is scheduled for 0930 GMT.
On home shores, new car registration figures for October are due out at 0900 GMT with S&P Global's monthly construction PMI due out at 0930 GMT.
