Friday preview: BoJ, US consumer confidence in focus
Updated : 03:01
The market spotlight at the end of the week was expected to swing back towards Asia, where the Bank of Japan was scheduled to announce its latest policy decision.
Nevertheless, policymakers in Tokyo were expected to stay put on rates and on any adjustments to their policy of yield curve control.
Stateside meanwhile, at 1500 BST the University of Michigan was scheduled to release the preliminary results of its consumer confidence survey.
In particular, gauges of inflation expectations contained in the same were likely to draw attention following their recent increases.
On home shores, at 0930 BST the Bank of England would publish its latest Inflation Attitudes survey.
A final reading for consumer price inflation in May was the main release due out in the euro area.
