Friday preview: Global factory PMIs, Fed's Powell in focus

The market focus at the end of the week will be on a raft of purchasing managers' indices from around the world covering manufacturing sector activity during the month of November.

First out, overnight, will be that from private sector survey compiler Caixin in China.

It will be followed at 0900 GMT and 0930 GMT, respectively, by comparable surveys from S&P Global, for the euro area and UK, as well as another for the U.S. at 1445 GMT.

Also due out in the States, at 1500 GMT, is the Institute for Supply Management's more closely followed factory PMI.

A fireside chat with Fed President Jerome Powell at Spelman College, at 1400 GMT, may also bear watching.

Powell is also scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion at 1900 GMT.

On home shores meanwhile, mortgage lender Nationwide will publish its house price index for the month of November.
