Friday preview: Japan CPI, UK consumer confidence in focus

Investors' focus at the end of the week would shift towards Asia, where the Japanese Bureau of Statistics was set to publish consumer price data for October.

On home shores meanwhile, overnight consultancy GfK was to publish its consumer confidence index covering the month of November.

Across the Channel, at 0900 GMT the German IFO institute would release its closely followed business confidence index for November.

Two hours before, the Ministry of Finance would release a reading for third quarter gross domestic product growth.

In the States, at 1445 GMT S&P Global would publish the preliminary results of its manufacturing and services sector Purchasing Managers' Indices for November.

Stock markets in the U.S. would only be open for a shortened trading session on Friday on account of Thanksgiving Day.
