Friday preview: Time for a cuppa as the week draws to a quiet close

After a long week that included rate decisions from the Bank of England and the Federal Reserve, investors will get a chance to kick their feet up on Friday and relax with a nice cuppa.

The cupboard is bare as far as corporate news is concerned, with no FTSE 350 earnings or updates due.

Things are set to be a little busier on the macro front, with GfK’s UK consumer confidence survey for September, the German Ifo survey for September and US new home sales figures for August due.
