Friday preview: US consumer confidence, Fed speakers in focus

Financial markets' focus at the end of the week will be on US consumer confidence and another pair of Fed speakers.

The University of Michigan is scheduled to release a final reading on its consumer confidence index for the month of June, at 1500 BST.

It will be followed at 1635 BST by a speech from Cleveland Fed chief Loretta Mester and another from Boston Fed president, Eric Rosengren, at 1800 BST.

On home shores, overnight consultancy GfK will release its own closely-watched consumer confidence index for June.

The Confederation of British Industry's distributive trades index will come out at 1100 BST.

Across the Channel, readings on consumer confidence in Germany and Italy are due out at 0700 BST and 0900 BST, respectively.

Euro area money supply figures are also scheduled for release, at 0900 BST.
