Friday preview: US consumer confidence in focus

The focus at the end of the week will shift back towards the US and a preliminary reading on consumer confidence for the month of November.

Consensus anticipated that the University of Michigan's closely-followed consumer confidence gauge will be little changed at 82.0, marginally up on the prior month's reading of 81.8.

Also due out across the Pond is a reading for wholesale prices in October.

No major economic reports are scheduled for release in the UK.

Across the Channel meanwhile, final readings for French and Spanish CPI in October are due out, followed by a revised print for euro area GDP in the third quarter (consensus: 12.7% quarter-on-quarter).
