Tuesday preview: Ukraine-Russia talks, US business confidence in focus

The conflict in Ukraine will continue to be in the spotlight on Tuesday with especial attention on the result, if any, of the third round of talks between officials from Kyiv and Moscow the day before.

Against that backdrop, the US National Federation of Independent Business will report on small business confidence in February.

Foreign trade figures for the US in January are also expected.

Across the Channel meanwhile, industrial production date for January are due out in Germany and Spain, alongside a reading on French business sentiment in February.

No major economic releases are scheduled in the UK.

Further afield, in Japan, the Ministry of Finance will publish balance of payments statistics for the month of January, while the Cabinet Office will release its Economy Watchers' survey for February.
