Tuesday preview: US retail sales, Easyjet in the spotlight

Investors' attention on Tuesday will be mainly on the US, where a deluge of macroeconomic data are due out.

Included among those are readings for retail sales, industrial production and import prices all referencing the month of October.

Across the Channel meanwhile, European Central Bank chief, Christine Lagarde, who will take part in a question and answer session during the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, towards 1600 GMT.

For Easyjet's full-year figures, UBS analyst Jarrod Castle has penciled-in sales of £3.01bn, against a consensus estimate for £2.05bn.

Profits before tax meanwhile were seen printing at -£822m with "the focus will be on the outlook and some additional colour on building blocks."
