Wednesday preview: Global services sector in focus

The market spotlight on Wednesday will shift towards the services side of the global economy, with survey readings due out in China, the euro area, US and UK.

In the case of Britain, IHS Markit's services sector Purchasing Managers' Index is expected to have remained steady versus the prior month's reading of 48.6.

Also due out in the middle of the week is consultancy ADP's monthly private sector payrolls figures referencing November.

Further north, policymakers at Canada's central bank are due to announce their decision on interest rates at 1500 GMT, with the consensus anticipating short-term official interest rates will be kept at 1.75%.
