Wednesday preview: US economic data barrage in focus

The focus on Wednesday will be squarely on a raft of US economic indicators, although in the background analysts will be keeping an eye out for any headlines around the ongoing US-China trade talks.

Included among the former will be readings on personal income and spending in October, alongside figures for durable goods orders in the same month and a preliminary estimate for third quarter gross domestic product.

Weekly jobless claims figures are also due out, as well as a report on pending home sales in October.

Back on home turf, the lone economic indicator scheduled for release is business lobby group BRC's shop price index for October.
