Compass Group directors cash in share bonus

A number of Compass Group directors have taken home a tidy profit as the company released shares as part of its long term incentive plan.

Eight directors and executives received a portion of shares as part of the plan, with chief executive Richard Cousins receiving the lion’s share of nearly a quarter of a million shares.

Six of these directors had to sell a portion to fulfil tax and social security obligations, however only one of them didn’t decided to take home some profits of their success.

Cousins banked a £1.18m profit from his sale, while North America chief operating officer Gary Green pocketed £0.67m.

Europe and Japan chief operating officer Andrew Martin also cashed in 53,689 shares to take home.
