Director dealing: Hikma directors keep buying

Hikma Pharmaceuticals' newest board member has bought himself some skin in the game, following his chief executive's lead.

US public affairs veteran John Castellani, who was appointed to the board in February, spent around £53,000 buying 2,500 shares at a price of 2,103p apiece.

This follows the £600,000 purchase from chief executive Said Darwazah earlier this month and the recent pledge to renew the 10% buyback authority at the annual shareholder meeting.

On Monday one of the top calls from Citi analysts was a 'buy' recommendation on the drugmaker as revised US generics assumptions drove 8-23% upgrades to its EPS forecasts, which still remain below consensus estimates.

"Management has a strong track record of value creation that we argue can continue post the recent Roxane/Bedford deals," Citi said, the Roxane pipeline seen as potentially driving up to 15% EPS upside on offer.
