Director dealings: Wickes chairman makes share purchase

Wickes Group revealed on Wednesday that chairman Christopher Rogers had acquired 31,741 ordinary shares in the FTSE 250-listed retailer.

Rogers, who took over as chairman back in January 2020, purchased the shares on Tuesday at an average price of 250.0p each, for a total value of £79,352.50.

Earlier in May, analysts at Citi initiated coverage of Wickes at 'buy' after its demerger from Travis Perkins, stating the business has been a strong outperformer within the retail home-improvement sector in the UK and said it benefited from a robust DIY demand backdrop.

As of 1635 BST, Wickes shares were up 1.39% at 254.50p.
