Director dealings: Burford CEO ups stake

Burford Capital revealed on Wednesday that chief executive Christopher Bogart had acquired 50,000 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed finance and professional services company.

Bogart, who co-founded Burford back in 2009, purchased the shares on Tuesday at an average price of 483.05p each, for a total value of £241,522.50.

Burford said in late April that it had seen total income slide in 2019 but predicted a strong performance in the current year following the coronavirus outbreak.

As of 1630 BST, Burford shares were down 5.10% at 461.10p.
